About ErsatzTV
Last updated 7 August 2026
ErsatzTV is a subscription television service delivered over the internet. Live channels and an on-demand library, on the devices you already own, set up in a conversation.
This page is about how it is run rather than what it costs, because the way this works is unusual enough to be worth explaining before you decide.
There is no checkout, and that is on purpose
Every service like this could put a payment form on a website. We do not, and it is the decision that shapes everything else about dealing with us.
Instead you message us, we talk about what you want to watch and how many people are watching, and we tell you what fits. Sometimes that conversation ends with us saying this is not right for you. That happens more often than you would expect from a business that only makes money when it says yes.
The reason is that most of the ways this goes wrong are avoidable in advance. Somebody buys a one screen plan for a household of four. Somebody signs up for a specific thing that is not in the catalogue. A payment form catches none of that, and a two minute conversation catches all of it.
What we will tell you before you pay
Whether the specific thing you want is there. This is the question we get asked most and the one most often answered evasively elsewhere. Ask us about a particular channel and you will get yes or no, not a paragraph about our extensive international coverage.
Which plan actually fits, including when that is a smaller one than you were about to buy. Most people overestimate what they need.
What your connection needs to be, and whether the problem you are describing sounds like something a subscription will fix. Sometimes the honest answer is that the issue is the wifi in the back bedroom and no service will solve it.
What we do not claim
We do not publish ratings, review counts or testimonial scores. There are real customer videos on the home page and that is the extent of it. A star rating nobody can verify is not evidence of anything.
We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we would treat any service that did with suspicion. Internet delivery is interrupted sometimes. What we commit to is telling you what is happening.
How support actually works
The same WhatsApp chat where you were set up. Not a ticket system, not a form, not a queue position.
That has an obvious limitation and we would rather say it than hide it: a conversation with a person is not instant at four in the morning. What it is instead is continuous. The person answering can see what you were sold, what device you are on and what went wrong last time, without you re-explaining any of it.
Most problems that reach us are not the service. They are where the router is, which band the television is on, or an app that needs its cache cleared. We will work through that with you rather than telling you to contact your internet provider.
The shape of the arrangement
You pay for a period and it runs. There is no card stored, nothing renews automatically, and there is nothing to cancel: when the period ends, it ends, and continuing is something you choose to do.
Nobody visits your house. There is no equipment to lease and nothing to send back if you stop. If you move, you take the app with you and nothing needs to be transferred.
That combination is the actual product as much as the catalogue is. It is why people who have moved recently, or who move often, tend to find this easier than the alternative.
Who we are
ErsatzTV is a trading name rather than a registered company, and we are not going to present it as more than that. The contact address is support@ersatztv.pro and the same people answer it who answer WhatsApp.
We are an independent service and are not affiliated with any channel, broadcaster or device manufacturer.
Questions about any of this? Email support@ersatztv.pro and a person will answer. You can also reach us on WhatsApp from the contact page.
